The Staff Nurse is an integral part of the health care team and assists the health care team in a professional manner in the community health center setting.

The Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivery of quality medical care to patients of the Center and functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team within the scope of his or her medical practice.

Responsible for receiving, processing, scheduling and following up on all medical referral requests, including in-house and outside referrals for diagnostic testing, medical specialists, or other providers.

Responsible for assisting one or more patients through the therapeutic relationship, using a combination of mental health and human developmental principles. This can include the use of psychotherapy to achieve the mental, emotional, physical, social, moral, educational and spiritual development of the client throughout the client’s life.

The primary function of the RMA/CMA is to provide direct and indirect support to the clinician in the delivery of patient care.
