Jessica Durand, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, believes that “every patient is an individual with unique experiences and backgrounds, and people want to be heard and understood.” She strives to listen carefully, help patients set achievable goals, and encourage them to become “the healthiest version of themselves they can be.”

Before becoming a nurse, Jessica was a middle and high school teacher, and she says, “I’ve always loved teaching and guiding others, and I still find ways to bring that into my work with patients every day.” She has a special interest in women’s health, LGBTQ+ care, mental health, and HIV/AIDS, and she is committed to working with people who might otherwise not receive the care they need.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys reading, knitting, and lifting weights, which help her stay balanced and energized for her patients.
