July Flood Disaster Relief Resources

Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the July floods in San Angelo and surrounding communities. Below is important information on how to access disaster assistance, including SNAP and WIC benefit replacements, FEMA aid, and local recovery support.


FEMA Disaster Assistance

You may qualify for federal aid if you experienced damage from the July floods.


iSTAT Damage Report

Filling out the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) helps local officials understand the full impact of the disaster and plan recovery efforts.

This does not replace a FEMA application.

SNAP Benefit Replacement

If you receive SNAP and lost food due to the July floods, you may be eligible for replacement benefits.

Deadline to Request:

  • August 7, 2025 (for counties listed below)

  • Within 10 days of discovering loss for all other counties

Eligible Counties: Bandera, Bexar, Burnet, Caldwell, Coke, Comal, Concho, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Reeves, San Saba, Tom Green, Travis, and Williamson

How to Request Replacement:

  • Call: 2-1-1, choose a language, then select Option 7

  • Visit: YourTexasBenefits.com and click “Find an Office”

  • Mail Form H1855 to:

  • Fax Form H1855 to: 

    877-447-2839

Funds are typically added to Lone Star Cards within two business days of approval.


SNAP Hot Food Authorization

SNAP recipients in the following counties can buy hot and prepared foods at retailers that accept SNAP through August 7, 2025: Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, and Real


WIC Replacement Benefits

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, popularly known as WIC, is replacing food and formula benefits lost during the floods through July 31.

WIC participants must visit a WIC office in person to receive updated benefits. Go to TexasWIC.org to find a local office and make an appointment.


Cleanup Assistance – San Angelo COAD

If your home or property was affected by the July floods, you may be eligible for free cleanup support provided by the San Angelo COAD in partnership with several local and state organizations. Services may include:

  • Debris removal

  • Mold prevention

  • Sorting and cleanup assistance

Please note: This request does not replace the iSTAT Damage Report or a FEMA application.

To request help: Fill out the Cleanup Assistance Request Form Services are provided at no cost and will be fulfilled as quickly as possible, depending on volunteer availability and need.

Free Cleanup & Recovery Help from Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is offering free assistance to homeowners in the San Angelo area affected by the recent floods. Their trained volunteers are ready to help with:

  • Removal of personal property and furniture

  • Flood cleanup

  • Sanitizing and Shockwave treatment

  • Chainsaw work

  • Temporary roof tarping

This service is completely free for those with little or no insurance. Requests are prioritized based on need and volunteer availability.
